History of Coffee and Eastern Traditions
Coffee, as a beverage, has a rich history, rooted in Ethiopia, from where it spread throughout the Arab world and further into the Ottoman Empire. It was in Turkey that coffee culture reached its peak, giving the world a unique way of preparing and consuming coffee.
Interesting Fact:
The first coffee houses, or "kahvehane", appeared in Constantinople in the 16th century and quickly became centers of social life, a place for conversations, reading, and entertainment, playing an important role in cultural exchange and the development of public thought.
