Reviews

Our Tie Guan Yin Tea, carefully selected by Teemaailm experts for the Estonian tea community, is a true embodiment of harmony in taste and aroma. From the first moments of acquaintance, it captivates with its unique bouquet, which unfolds gradually, like a blooming flower.

Aroma: The dry leaf exudes a subtle yet expressive aroma of fresh lilac, spring flowers, and delicate orchid. When brewed, this bouquet transforms into richer, sweeter, and more alluring notes, with a light hint of honey and vanilla, creating an atmosphere of peace and serenity.

Tie Guan Yin Infusion and Aftertaste

Infusion Color: When brewed correctly, the infusion acquires a noble light yellow or golden-green hue, clean and transparent, like a mountain stream. It is oily and dense, which indicates the high quality of the raw material and the mastery of processing.

Taste: The taste of Tie Guan Yin is sweet, velvety, with pronounced floral and honey nuances. It gently envelops the palate, leaving a pleasant freshness and a light sweetness. The absence of astringency and bitterness makes every brew a true pleasure. The tea reveals a rich palette of shades, from light citrus to creamy notes, unfolding with each new steeping.

Aftertaste: Long, refreshing, sweet, and enveloping. It lingers on the tongue and in the throat, giving a feeling of lightness and purity that promotes relaxation and mood enhancement. This tea state is what makes this oolong valued worldwide. It provides an incredible boost of positivity and harmony, helping to focus and unwind from the daily hustle and bustle.

Tie Guan Yin Tea originates from Anxi County, Fujian Province – the cradle of light oolongs. This is a high-mountain region where tea plantations are enveloped in thick fogs rising from the ocean. The unique landscape with rocky soil and a mild, humid climate create ideal conditions for growing tea with an unparalleled taste and aroma.

According to legend, this tea received its name in honor of the bodhisattva Guanyin – the Iron Goddess of Mercy, who appeared in a dream to a poor farmer, pointing him to an unusual tea tree. Since then, Tie Guan Yin has become a symbol of blessing and prosperity, and its history is intertwined with myths and legends, making each sip even more magical.
