Our experts have carefully tested this tea and confirm its exceptional quality and potential to offer deep and memorable tea moments. It is an excellent choice for both novice puerh lovers and experienced gourmets seeking a characteristic yet unique flavor profile typical of the Menghai region.

The Menghai region, located in the southern part of China’s Yunnan province, is known as the birthplace of puerh tea. A subtropical climate prevails here, characterized by dense fogs, abundant rainfall, and fertile red soil. These unique conditions create an ideal environment for tea plant growth, which imparts an exceptional taste and aroma. According to legend, the first tea trees in the Menghai mountains were discovered by ancient tribes who noticed that their leaves had a special invigorating effect, laying the foundation for a thousands-year-old tea culture.
