Banzhang, in the heart of China’s Yunnan province, is a sacred place for pu-erh teas. Here, in the mountainous forests, where dense fogs embrace ancient tea trees and fertile reddish soil nourishes the roots, an extraordinary tea is born. The region’s unique microclimate and rich soil give the tea its characteristic depth and minerality. It is said that Banzhang’s oldest tea trees have lived for thousands of years, witnessing countless sunrises and sunsets, and absorbing the mountains’ tranquility and strength. This is a place where time stands still and the harmony of nature is reflected in every tea leaf.
