In this garden grew rare tea bushes, whose leaves were picked only on selected mornings. It was here that “Emperor’s Seven Treasures” was born – a blend created for the emperor’s own delight, to offer him peace and inspiration. It is said that each of these seven treasures had its own story. The soils for this tea were rich in minerals, watered by mountain rivers, and caressed by the sunlight, giving each leaf extraordinary energy.
- 🍵 Utensils: Use a gaiwan or a small clay teapot, which helps the tea to better unfold its flavors.
- 🌡️ Water temperature: Heat water to 90-95°C. For a black and green tea blend, it is important to avoid water that is too hot, so that the green tea does not become bitter.
- ⚖️ Tea quantity: Add 5-7 grams of tea for every 100-150 ml of water. This ensures sufficient concentration for multiple infusions.
- ⏳ First infusion (washing): Pour water over the tea and immediately discard it (about 5-10 seconds). This “wakes up” the tea leaves and cleans them.
