- 🍵 Prepare your vessels: Use a small clay teapot (Yixing) or a gaiwan (bowl with lid and saucer) with a volume of 100-150 ml. Warm the vessels with hot water.
- ⚖️ Dosing: Add 5-7 grams of Pu-erh tea for every 100 ml of water.
- 🌡️ Water temperature: Use boiling or nearly boiling water (95-100°C).
- ⏳ First rinse (awakening brew): Pour hot water over the tea and immediately pour it out (about 5-10 seconds). This awakens the tea leaves and cleanses them.

- 1st-3rd infusion: 10-15 seconds
- 4th-6th infusion: 15-25 seconds
- 7th infusion and beyond: Gradually extend the brewing time by 5-10 seconds with each infusion until the flavor begins to fade.
